Program Objective

To prepare any professional self-starter for an entry level position in the dental field where they can further utilize their training upon graduation.

Program Description

The dental assistant program runs for 10 consecutive weeks and includes educational training along with a large portion of the course being actual hands on training.  After the 10 week training course, each student will be required to do an externship in local dental offices.  You will be supervised and trained by a Florida licensed dentist.

After the 10-week program and the student has received formal training by a Florida licensed dentist , the student will be eligible (at no additional cost) to sit for the X-Ray and the EFDA State of Florida Certifications.    

Our courses are Certified by the Florida Board of Dentistry and Licensed by the Board of Education, Commission of Independent Education, Lic #4355. Our training is designed to promote the basic, entry level dental assisting skills.  After completing this training program, you can begin a career in the dental field.    Our  training program focuses on the dental assisting skills and procedures you will utilize on a daily basis.  Program length is as follows:

  • Lecture/Lab Hours      80

  • **Externship**               40

  • Total                              120

Admissions

Any person who as obtained a high school diploma or G.E.D is eligible.  All applicants must have a professional appearance.
