Florida requires two specific certifications; 1) Radiology certification (XRAY)** and 2) Expanded functions certification (EFDA). **Upon successful completion of a course in radiology, Florida requires you to work for a Florida licensed dentist for 3 months. After this initial 3 months, a form signed by your employer, our course completion certificate and $30.00 is sent into the State for a dental radiography license. No. Florida does not require dental assistants to go to ADA accredited schools or be nationally certified or registered dental assistants. ________________________________________________________________________ Is Dental Assisting Institute Approved by the Florida Board of Dentistry?
